Christie Ward, CSP
The Impact Institute

Christie knows firsthand what motivates people to change their ways — and she knows how to restart lost momentum and help anyone muster the courage to overcome even the most daunting obstacles. She works with individuals and teams who want to learn skills that not only impact their lives, but help them influence everyone with whom they come into contact.

Christie employs accelerated learning techniques and designs curriculum that speaks to today’s adult learner. Her programs are uplifting, and always teach you something!

For seven years, she coached and managed 200 of the best professional trainers around the world for CareerTrack , Inc. She has been incredibly successful not only professionally, but personally, changing direction in her mid-40’s to lead a multi-million dollar sales team, shepherding her daughter though a bone-marrow transplant while working full time, and maintaining a 90 pound weight loss since 1985.

Christie is past president for the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD)-Rocky Mountain Chapter, and is also past president for the National Speakers Association of Colorado (NSA). She is the only person to have received “Member of the Year” three times for NSA (in 2008, 2009 and 2011) for creating the Colorado Speaker’s Academy for emerging speakers. In 2000, she personally coached the World Champion of Public Speaking for that same year. She hit another career milestone in 2009, earning the CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) designation, an honor bestowed upon less than 10% of professional speakers who are members of the International speakers federation.

Christie is a regular volunteer speaker for Colorado Homeless Families and volunteers with Goodwill to help aspiring inner-city high school students learn to present themselves well to scholarship screening boards. She served on the National Advisors to Chapters for ASTD where she mentored volunteer leaders in several states, and on the National board for ASTD from 2011-2012.  She regularly speaks at the ASTD conference and teaches for their Train the Trainer certificate program.
